That room must get pretty toasty at times. How do you controll all the heat being thrown off by the lights and other equipment?

dphinsx2 I hired a local construction company that specializes in cabnents, I got the idea for the design from living color.coms aquarium furnature.

surfy I have cathedral cealings so that helps, I will eventually invest in a dehumidifer though. In the winter time it will be a plus lol.

Mikigo , Yes its two different systems, one for my taste and one for what my wife enjoys, but both tanks are set up for acros just incase lol. The Tv is high up enough that it does not get washed out. You see that step stool, I have to use it regularly to reach anyting in the upper cabnets or to reach down to the bottom of the tank to retrieve an algaee clip...and Im 6'5 and long armed!

Wow! They really look great!

The rockwork makes it look like one long tank, very well done. It's gona look awesome after another 6 months or so of grow out. Stock those bad boys!

Awesome setup but that would never work for me. I can't look up very long at a tv, it kills my neck.

Is there room behind the aquariums? Just wondering how you hand water changes.

Opus123

It is cramped behind the tanks, probally about a foot of space from the back glass to the wall.

When we watch the TV we recline on the couch...wasent as bad an angle as I origionaly thought it would be.

Water changes are done from the sump via a pump.

I do worry some about that happening. But the hunidity sucks anyway where I live in south Arkansas. The Tv housing compartment is sealed in the back only open in the front.

Scuba Dog You have to do some close-ups of you equipment. That is a great set-up from afar. I would be sleeping on that couch every night. All that you need your tank and your tv. Not much energy used to watch both.
