NASCAR Question

Greetings all,

Some guys at worked talked me into doing the Fantasy NASCAR with them, I don't follow the sport so I'm doing it ALL on statistics and doing quite well I might add.

How do I find out who's entered in a race before qualifying starts? There's some of the lower ranked guys (my C list team) that I'd love to run but they don't enter in most of the races and I don't want to waste a pick on a Did Not Enter.

They can be found on Nascar.com sometime before qualifying.

I know that doesn't help much, but it has been a while since I have needed to look at a entry list.

Maybe if Leilani is around later she can help out more.

Thanks for the tip. It had never occurred to me to look at the qualifying order the day before qualifying.

Go to NASCAR.com the day before the race they will have the line-up posted for the next days race. This should still give you time to change your team before the race starts.

good race in Upstate NY today.

how did you do mutt

sidebar: i think Juan Pablo spinning people out all season is great. I think he thinks Nascar is below him like Jaques girard in Ricky Bobby.

That's not even CLOSE to being soon enough. I have to pick 8 drivers for my team BEFORE qualifying. After qualifying, I pick 4 among the 8 that I want to run in the race.

I get bonus points for anyone on my team who ranks in the top 3 at qualifying.

The C team consists of 2 drivers and I have to run 1. All of the C team choices are low end guys or guys that rarely run. There's a few pretty impressive drivers who only run a couple of races. I'd LOVE to have one of them on my team when they're running, but I don't want to waste a slot by picking someone who does not enter the race.

I kicked butt, Pablo wrecks FAR too much for my taste but my top two competitors love him and were running Gordon. They lost two of their 4 drivers and the spin out tripping my top driver (Stewart) into the winner's circle.

Stewart is on a roll and I'm playing him to the hilt right now. I've got Gordon on the team but don't intend on running him. (He's taken FAR more poles this year than anyone else and I'm looking for the bonus points.)

I'd like to run Newman, but I can only run him in one more race and then he's maxed out for the season. I'm holding him on the team because he's also done well in qualifyings.

Mike Wallace is who I really hope will run another race. He's mainly a truck racer and is on the C team list because of it, but when he runs NASCAR he's been 4th and 16th which is a heck of a lot better than the 20's n 30's that all the C team drivers hit.

Isn't NASCAR about as real as "Pro" Wrestling?

(I mean not)

NASCAR is about as real as baseball, the big winners are the ones who can get away with cheating the most.

See if your C list drivers have their own website and list a schedule that they will be running for the year. If they dont have one, maybe the team owner has one...?

Forget those punks. My favorite driver is knows as the KING of NASCAR.....Richard Petty.

He's also the guy with the MOST citations for illegal gear in the history of NASCAR. He even got caught for using the tube steel in his roll cage as a back up gas tank.

Then again, what do you expect from a sport that was born out of the effort to build booze running cars that could outrun the cops down Highway 5 (a.k.a. Bloody 5). The history of prohibition's relationship to NASCAR is one that's well worth reading.

When you build a sport around people that make a living from breaking the rules, it's silly to think they will suddenly play by the rules. NASCAR is the ultimate of pushing the limits and trying your best to figure out what you can get away with.
