What to dose and at what levels???? HELP

I have a 120 gallon tank with no overflow or sump that I want to turn in to a planted tank. I have done freshwater planted but from what Ive heard its different for saltwater.

I will have no bioload at all so what nutrients are we trying to dose?

Macronutes
- Nitrate?
- Phosphate?
- Potassium?

Micronutes
- Magnesium?
- Iron?
- Trace Elements? (Boron, Molybdenum, Chloride, Sulfur, Zinc)

What is the suggested tartget levels?

Nitrate: 5ppm
Phosphate: .5-1ppm
Potassium: 15-20 ppm
Magnesium: 5-10 ppm
Iron: ???
Trace Elements: ???

What sources are everyone using?

Nitrate: KNO3
Phosphate: KH2PO4
Potassium: K2SO4
Magnesium: MgSO4
Iron: Iron Chelate
Trace Elements: CSM + B Plantex

What am I trying to maintain my Ca/Alk at?

I'm trying to make the freshwater planted to marine transition but theres not much info on dosing out there.

Thanks,
Tony

If You've done FW planted, then You shouldn't have much of problem with SW.There are some differences though.

Nitrate <10 ppm,KN03 potassium nitrate,I think there is a CaN03 that can be used too.

Phosphate <0.03 ppm

Calcium 350-450 ppm

Magnesium 1250-1350 ppm

Kh 8-12

Iron,I use Kent Marine, dosing just so it's available also it has maganese in with it.

boron,I use 20 mule team,<4 ppm

Molybdenum,for Me triggers a cyano outbreak,so I don't use it.

Chloride is already in abundance

Sulfur isn't good for Sea Grass like Turtle grass so I havn't even tried it.

Thanks alot!

Fresh to Salt doesnt seem like as much of a difference as I though it would be...

Basicly higher Nitrates lower Phosphates and a hell of a lot more magnesium but then again I complelty forgot salt mixes already have a high mag rate.

Calcium and Alk ... same as a reef

Thanks agian
