Thanks for the input!! I agree. I love to vary foods when I do feed and my fish love it too! I remember when I first started this hobby and I used to feed every day. I always had problems with water quality. I went to every 2-3 days and never had a prob since. My Maroon and CB have been with me since the beginning and they are beautiful, healthy fishy's.

Okay I apologize for being so blunt---99% of the time I try to keep my objectivity and an open mind. The more proactive here the more you learn.

The feeding two or three times a day I guess is really a misconception. But its been reinforced many times over the years by other reefers.

I think the feeding times ect might depend on the fish you have?
I have three tangs---which are grazers-- I would think they would need something to nibble on constantly.
some other fish I might worry about too--if they got hungry and started to snack on my corals?

Also there is the enjoyment part of feeding and watching the fish eat--it brings out the shrimp, brittle stars etc--everytime the grandkids come over they want to see the fish eat etc etcc.

thanks again for starting this post and reinforcing the concept of keeping an open mind.
