cleaner shrimp dead

i had him for 2 weeks, seemed fine to me, the next day i found him leaying on his back, pull him out and did not smell, could he just have been molting???, anyone have the same problem???

It could be his molt you see. After molting they tend to hind because there armor is weak. Also if tank is only 1 month old this could be to soon for stock.

check salinity, and not with a float meter. Get a refractometer if you don't have one

Did the corpse look like somethign ripped open the shrimp's back, and ate all his guts? If so, it is probably a molt. I had one die after 4 months, and it just looked all bloated and white--not at all like a molt.

My vote is that it molted as well.. it will probably show up in the next couple of days hungry as ever..
