Crabs and triggers

I would like to get some big crabs for my tank. What will work with my fish?

Nothing is a garantee with triggers. But what i did is put large snails and crabs in the tank when the lights are off for the night. I also keep my triggers well feed this might be why they dont bother mine or the green serpent star i have in the tank.

I had a sally crab and a bunch of hermits in my tank with a humu. The sally was never bothered but I would have to get new hermits every few months. Think of them as snacks.

The only hermits I've kept in my tank for any length of time is the big hermit crabs. Not the little wimpy snack versions. They were kept with a clown trig for years.

I have kept a large red starry hermit with my triggers ( a clown and black durgeon) for years. My 16" stars and stripes puffer will take a swipe at it every now and then, but can't get through its shell (surprisingly)

Large hermit crabs, cowries and possibly large turbo snails.

I had a large hermit in with my little picasso. Not a starry hermit but comparable in size. Anyway, my little Bubba managed to kill him off. Then he started on the turbo snails so now that tank is strictly a fish only tank!!
