kalk, alk, and calc help im a retard noob. do

ok sorry to be such a noob, dont chew me out

but if i am dosing kalk in my top off water do i also need to add calcium or is that taken care of in my kalk dosing.

i have a 55 gallon standerd with:

70 lbs of lr

4" dsb

ph.8.1

nitrites 0
nitrates 0
po4 < .25 im adding a fuge to get htis down and its a newly cycled tank. any other way to get this down i am running ro/di that tests 0 po4 out of the tube?

calcium 330. another reason for asking?

Even with kalk, you will still have to supplement calcium and alkalinity.

You can use either Randy's do it your self

or supplement with one of the many calcium chloride products available i.e. Turbo Calcium, Warner Marine, ESV, Reef Complete

and for alkalinity, good old Arm & Hammer baking soda.

Use this handy calculator to determine dosage.

Once you find out your tanks weekly consumption rate, you will be able to maintain these levels listed below
