Open brains from Japan. If you have never seen one, they are the most exotic of all LPS.

That Elegance is awesome, I really wish that they could find out what is causing them to die!

All of the others are too, that red lobo and green centered candy cane are just awesome! SPS can be cool but they are mostly just different colored stick shapes.

Given the criteria of hardy and available I'd say neon green bubbles, nicer varieties of euphylia (FS/hammer/torch) and nice lobos are awesome!

Awe that sucks. When I left SF 6 years ago I gave away 2 elegance I'd had for a long time figuring I'd get more later. They were stunning. Then of course the demise of elegance came and I never even tried. About 6 months ago a local sold one he'd had for years and I did everything I could to get it, it took a lot of begging. Its a shame but for those who like elegance - you should try to get a Duncan frag. They look like small elegance corals!

Fliger,

What's a Duncan frag and where do you look?

There are so many nice LPS. Too many to fit in my 75. I'm planning a larger tank in a year or 2. Right now I have enough room for one or two pieces on the rocks and some good spots for some acan or blasto frags around the base of the rockwork. Then I just get to sit back and watch them grow.

Those are so awesome NAKA.

Here are a couple shots of a Duncan (not mine, but they all pretty much came from one colony several years ago)

One of ORA's colonies (the have a much larger one they might start fragging)

I think this pic is from Viper

And this from RandyO

What makes the japanese brains look like that? Why don't we get those here? How much would something like that run?

I like acans, micro's, I need a red lobo like THAT^^^
But Scolys can be just as eye popping. This one i resized on accident, You dont see all the good colors come out it looks more mottled. Just picked this guy up, Theres blues purples maroon, green speckles all in the center, and red tiger stripes. I have been looking for 2 years for the scoly i wanted cause i am only getting one. Oh a sweet pink chino is a looker as well.

naka,

has the joculator gone for the brains yet? I really like that fish but I don't think I would risk those beautiful brains with an angel in the tank. You have some steel ones
