Should any water parameters be considered when adding rock?

Should anything besides salt and temp be checked before I add my rock? It should be here any time today.

Not necessary if it's an initial setup. Just keep your temp and salinity in check.

Yeah its a new tank with nothing in it yet besides salt water and sand
