Plating coraline experament

So, I have this one rock with a bunch of plating coraline (Mesophyllum mesomorphum) on it.

There's one good sized piece (slightly larger than a quarter) on the side of the rock that appers to have grown over some crud on the rock, and is consequently peeling off. I was wondering if anyone wanted to try to transplant it into their tank. It's pretty cool looking stuff IMO.
