ID and how to get rid of these?

I have these skinny long white antenna looking things coming out all over my rocks. They are probably some sort of worms(??) Does anyone know what these are and how to get rid of them?

Thanks!
Kim

ya just a worm probably. You wont be able to get rid of them, but there's no reason to. They're just filter feeders. If your tank is new, it probably has an overabundance of them..my new tanks usually do. But they go away after a while for me it seems.

Thanks for the reply. I had a few at first and now there's alot. They don't really bother me that much I was just worried I might have some sort of problem, but from what you said, I feel better about them.

Thanks!

Pics would help. They may be a sort of snail. I can't remember the name, but if it is a long stringy thingy that particles from the water stick to, then it is common, and harmless as far as I know, maybe even beneficial? Maybe some pics could get you a pos. ID. Wouldn't worry though.

FWIW, I'm no expert and don't know what type of worm you might have, but my total worm population in the tank appears to have disappeared after I added my Longnose Yellow Butterfly. That fish went after everything that even resembled a worm. Within just a few minutes of adding that fish it started eating the spaghetti worms. However, it didn't touch the hydroids and that is what I was hoping it would help control.
