Sending PM's and pictures

OK, so why is it that when I try to send photos to someone via a PM here on RC that they always show up as links and not the picture? Whenever I link to a picture for a comment in a thread it works fine, but not in PM's. Any ideas???

I don't think you can put photos in PM's.

I have found that PM's need to be links, not actual photos.
