Urgent Nudi ID!!
Hi, my lights just went on and i found this guy crowling around my glass, if someone can give me an ID asap, so i can remove this guy asap if i need to he is about 10mm long. any help will be much appreciated.

Looks like a soft coral eater. Typically nudis like these will mimic the corals they feed on. If its a xenia eater it may be valuable to those with xenia problems.

Cool thanks, just found an id, Tritoniopsis elegans. Indeed a nasty soft coral eater, usually lobophyton, i ont have any of those though, so i wonder what he has been eating instead. Nothing is showing any signs of damage.

Actually, i think i figured out what it ate, a couple of days ago i was trying to get an id on this hitchhiker soft coral, to not much avail. But now that coral has completely dissapeared, not even any remnants. I have put the nudibranch into a small plastic test tube filled with water and am freezing it for future referal.

maybe that wasnt a soft coral but actually the nudibranch? i remeber seeing your pic and wondering if it might be a nudi.
post int eh buy sell trade, like the aquabucket said there might be someone interested, maybe could work out to be a nice trade. |
