In-wall tank pics with a twist

If you have an in-wall tank and it is recessed at least 3" please post pics. I have a big decision to make. Take out a wall or recess the tank to get it properly leveled. The catch is taking out the wall may lead to divorse.=) So I would like to see some pics of recessed tank to get an idea of what it would look like before I make my decision. Thanks

Rick

Get the divorce...oh wait you were asking about the tank, my bad...hahaha. Don't have a pic but I saw a tank with a nice moulding finish around the recession. Made it look like a living picture...very very cool.

Jcato - not to hijack the thread, but my wife would like to know where you got the console/buffet, or what kind/brand it is, that sits under the tank.

Very nice tank BTW.

I don't understand! Why would you need to recess the tank in order to get it level?

See this post.

But basically where it is at the front of the tank would rest on a wall which is unlevel. Being a wall I have no way to shim it. I can either push it back fully on the stand or take out the wall (I really dont want to do this).

Rick

BTW Jcato very nice tank, would you have any closer pics of the molding.

Just take some measurements to bring it level and cut a nice long shim. And I may be the minority, but if you're serious about the divorce thing, you're spending WAY too much time with your fish...

C'mon lbrty9....I'm sure he was joking when he said he'd be getting a divorce for taking down the wall. And he's not getting divorced because of spending too much time with his fish, it's because he may need to modify the house for his fish which is totally reasonable.

I hope and pray that you are a female! If not I feel sooo bad for you. Because it would seem that at one time you "spent way too much time with your fish" until someone stepped in and put an end too it. And now you have that exact statement drilled into your head. Boy, I really hope you are a women .

If I am seeing things right your tank extrudes from the wall which is opposite what I was refering to but looks awesome.

Rick I'm confused as to what the problem is since in your other post it shows that you now have it level.

I don't see any reason to second guess having a 3" recess. I think it will look fine
