My Journey

Im going to post my journey in creating my FOWLR 55g vision. I have a 55g w/ corner overflow built in. My light is a 50/50 w/ 4 moon lights. Im going to grab my sump and skimmer tomorrow aswell as a few powerheads and some live sand. I'll also grab my test kits, chems, and any other little things I might see.

I will post pics tomorrow of my setup!

Any and all input is greatlly welcomed!

[welcome]

Congrats on your new project! Is this going to be your first tank? What are the specs of everything like what kind of skimmer, etc...?

Money Well Spent

I spent way too much money today. Around $700, but well spent. Here's some pics of what I bought. More to come.

Did you buy that stand blue or did you paint it yourself?

well sorry im late in posting but what can ya do. neways here are a few pics of filling the tank. i mixed 60g of salt water and let it sit. i added 80lbs of live sand and laid the left over plastic over top of the sand. then i added the water a gallon at a time pouring it over the plastic as not to mix up to much of the sand. next i double checked again for any leaks and turned on the sump and let it run. after about 2 or 3 hours it cleared enough for me to turn on the skimmer. give a few hourse and ill have most recent pics and more info.........
