Jawfish/LMB
Think these 2 fish would be at each others throats? I decided against the foxface and think i may just add a jawfish. They have a similar body shape so i am wondering if they would fight?

need a really deep sand bed for a jawfish, and your rock cannot be positioned on the sand or it may collapse your rock wall.
otherwise, they should be fine. |

what are you looking for in a fish? color, movement, wow factor?
there's tons of fish you can have in your tank check out bicolor blennies. i have one and it is a GREAT fish. hhmmmm, i don't know how it would react to your lmb though. you could get a firefish, some type of basslet (royal gramma's seem to die easy though), or try breeding some banghai cardinals (they are endangered species and are no longer able to be wild caught) |

have a red firefish and a pj cardinal so there goes both of those ideas. not really into royal grammas. I like the blue spotted jawfish but i dont have a deep sand bed. I know my LMB is kinda grouchy so i dont think any blenny would be a good idea. I want something that is "coral safe" and has that wow factor. Not to concerned with my inverts although im not intentionally looking to add something that will eat them but if i find something that they are the only real concern of being eaten i dont care that much.

haha i think a LMB would kick its @$$ ive seen them get aggressive with fish that try to bully it.
its always been easy to catch LMBs in tanks that don't have too many caves so if they fight grab him up ...and it's a great reason to get a new tank good luck

i have a decent pod population but i dunno if it is good enough for a mandarin because i see the wrasse and both the waspfish munching on pods all day.

I think you said you dont have shrimp because of the waspfish , what about a hawkfish . There has been some cool variants around .

No the waspfish i thought would go after my shrimp but turns out they dont bother any of my inverts. I do see them sifting through the sand eating some pods but not my cleaners or fire shrimp.
Im am difficult im not all that inlove with a hawkfish lol I do kinda like the geometric pygmy hawk but it isnt screaming buy me!
