Upside down eggs...
I've seen lots of nests and never noticed this before but.. in this latest Melanopus nest several of the eggs (like 1% maybe) are 'upside down'. That is, the eyes are at the base of the egg instead of at the top. Has anyone noticed this before? Is it common? Is there reduced survival of those fry? (I'd imagine it's harder to break free of the egg when they hatch, in that position.)
I guess with such a low rate of occurance it doesn't really matter. But I was curious...

I had a clutch of black ocellaris like that the other day, but have never really noticed it much before that, and im not sure if those larvae hatched sorry so cant tell on the survival.
