Probably won't be much help but my branching frogspawn did better when I moved it up in the tank. I have 175W 10K MH lights. It is also an area of relatively high flow. I did have some problems due to another coral that cleared up when I moved the other coral.
Mine has grown about six more heads since I moved it. |

FWIW, I keep mine higher in the tank under 175w MH with good current flow. It is growing and looking good. It had a rough start when introduced, I had to cut off one branch due to brown jelly, wohwa!!! what a smell!!! I t is doing well under this lighting dividing and budding too!

With 250w mh I would move it to the middle of the tank with current but not direct flow. My frogspawn closes up when direct flow hits it. JMO

Just enough flow to make the tentacle lightly sway is best if you want it to really expand large.
