How do you make a sun coral open?
I got it on Friday. I am aware on how to feed them, but how do you make it open to feed the polyps?

It may take some patience, if its a new purchase, and hasnt been fed well it could be stressed. Usually a healthy sun will open within a few minutes after food has been introduced to the tank, It may take several nights or more of jsut adding a taste of food to the water before it begins to show interest.

Ok. Thanks. I got a few polyps to open a little bit. They couldn't hold on to mysis but I dosed some Artic Pods and cyclops to give them something.

cut a top off of a plastic bottle and you can use a turkey baster to shoot food at it. I wait till mine has opened to feed it but it took a month of coaxing to get it to open. It has dubbled in size now and will open whenever it is hungry.

Try dried cyclop-eeze in the water, worked for me recently. Within 20 min opened.
