Skimmer in Remote Location

I'm planning on putting my skimmer and reactors in a storage room. The sump will be gravity fed and will be place directly under the tank in the cabinet. From there a pump will feed the skimmer 10 feet away and the water will return to the sump on a seperate return line. There will be a completely seperate pump that will pump from the sump to the main display.
This 10 foot run will need to be a level horizontal run. This will also allow me to raise the skimmer about 12 inches so its not sitting level with the sump. A mag 5 will be used.

Will this work?

Thanks

you might encounter some head pressure. just make sure that the skimmer is more elevated than the sump
