Clear bubbles attched to rock?

Ive seen it posted several times but the name eludes me. On one rock I have a number of tiny clear bubbles that look to be attached by a string.

Now that I know what they are, how do I get rid of them?

Doesn't look like cyano, but what do I know. I'll snap a pic when I get my camera back in a bit, it looks that most of them are gone but there is definately a number left.

Yes, it appears to be Dinoflagellates, they are caused by too much nutrient in the water, the cure is to lower nutrient levels through the use of water changes and by siphoning out the slime. TinMan

Thats what I was afraid of. I didn't even notice them until after I ripped the sump out for its monthly cleaning. At least they are only on one rock(for the moment I hope) and they've gone down since. Here's to a series of water changes and whatnot

................I wouldn't sweat it, in a mature tank they come and go. Believe me "been there, done that" at least a couple of times a year for the past decade. Just "pop a top" and bust the seal on some fresh salt and get the ol' manos wet!! Cheers!!! TinMan
