Bubbles stuck on everything!?
I am getting a lot of green algae everywhere and there are these small bubbles that are starting to stick to my LR and other things on my tank. Whats up? Should I knock off or pop the bubbles?

Are these air bubbles or green bubble algae? Get some snails to eat the algae. Is the tang picking at the algae? High nitrate and phosphate levels fuel algae growth. Clean your canister filter more often.

How long has the tank been running? It could be bubble algae or a cyano outbreak.

I am going to clean the filter tomorrow morning. How often should I clean it? I just got new lights(CF 2x96watts) which replaced my old 30 watt T8s.

Should I scrape all of the green algae off the glass when I clean the filter?

Scrape the algae off the glass is a good thing. How long do you run your lights? What are your nitrate levels?

Increase your flow this will help.
Also whene increasing the light level dont use full time. Add time gradually to avoid algea bloom. And if any of this algea is red then scraping could be bad. Also tag says newbie, how new? This tank should have a good cleanup crew inplace then add fish and other cool stuff. If you dont over feed the tang he will graze on this algea. I got rid of a long spine urchin about 2 weeks ago and then green hair went crazy. I bought 1 conch snail and after 1 week almost all gone. Hes a lawnmower. Also some cheaper salts can come with unwanted algea. Just increase your flow ( if needed ) and get the clean up crew. Also for future refrance that tnag is aggressive and should be added toward the end of stocking. Now every new fish will be stressed by the tang and this could lead to jumpers or even death for the other fish.

Sounds like valonia be very careful with how you proceed this stuff can be nearly impossible to get rid of. One popped bubble can spread it all over the tank and these bubbles can get really huge. I let a couple grow in my first got at a marine tank and they got about the size of large grapes it was pretty interesting.

Since I got my new lights I have been running them for about 12-13 hours a day or more. I will cut them back to 8 hours. My nitrate levels are about 80. I am going to do a water change starting today.

What is the white /red thing you have on the right side of the tank ? The green algae on the glass can be scraped off and picked by your filter. The red algae needs to be suck out with a vacuum. There is no need to run your light 10-12 hours a day(IMO) As a general rule when you up grade your lighting you should always cut back on run time then weekly increase your run time and you will almost alway get an algea bloom. You should cut them back to 6 hours for now until you get the algae under control. what are your water parameters? How long has the tank been set up ?

It does not appear that you have much flow in your tank ? What do you have to move water around,What size power heads ? You should invest in a skimmer as soon as you can.

IMO you should have a minimun of 15-20 turn over to have a healthly tank. This would mean you need between 1100 GPH to 1400 GPH of flow in your tank. Add up all your powerheads and the flow from your filter and you need to be at the GPH listed above.
How long has your tank been up ?

That last picture you posted is a flower pot coral (I think)if so for it to survive you will need to move it to the top of your tank it has very high light needs

I tried to put it on the top when I first got it but the bottom is uneven and it kept tipping over. I dont know if I can cut the bottom of the rock to flatten it out or not.
