VERY informative Mantis Video
I was really impressed with this video .. especially the force that these guys produce and the fact that cavitation happens when the hammer type strike shell or anything really ... some GREAT slo-mo shots of the strikes as well.

i remember this video, it helped out a lot with the understanding of the mantis shrimp appendage (for me at least)

I actually gave a presentation of Dr. Pateks work in my vert. biomechanics class a couple years ago. It was pretty funny to see the looks on peoples faces when they were told that a "shrimp" could hit something hard enough to produce heat,sound,light.
