Question Molting

When shrimp molt, do you leave the skeleton in the tank or take it out? Will it decomposed or will other things eat it?

The answer depends upon who you ask. Many people leave it, others remove it. I have never seen any adverse effects from leaving it in the tank.

I've never bothered to remove the molts, they just seem to disappear on their own somehow.

I only remove them if they're right out in the open and easy to grab. It seems that my cleaner shrimp try to hide them or something - they're usually stuffed into crevices in the rock. Most of the time, I leave 'em in.
