Nah, I just decided to stick it out. Looks like Georgia, North Alabama and Eastern Tennessee are going to get lots of flooding and tornados. Plus I may not have been able to get back. I'll just bite the bullet and stick it out here.

Having gone through Frances and loosing power for 2 days (and we got off easy), I can tell you that an APC UPS will run a small air pump for 10 to 12 hours Plan accordingly...

Winds and rain are picking up here in Pensacola. Batteries were hard to find even last week. I think I got the last two car inverters from radio shack.
I'll most likely loose power soon.

well, still have power. looks like Ivan is starting to get even stronger. mb is down to 932. Was hoping it would loose a little stregnth before land fall. Trees are starting to blow pretty good and the eye is still 125 miles offshore! Conditions are starting to worsen. This is going to be one hell of a ride.

Good luck, Jason. Hope you have a generator.

I'm on the northshore of Lake Ponchartrain and we're not getting much of anything yet -- just tropical storm force winds and a little rain.
