Cretaceous Rock... any experience?
Hi all, newbie here, starting to build my 125g set-up.
Doing my research for Live Rock, I came across this site: www.rockquatics.com They sell reef rock, from somewhere in the middle of Texas, from an ancient reef during the cretaceous period. It's quite cheap, and beautiful looking rock... very intricate shapes and great porousity. it's also authentic reef material, just eons old. It's obviously not "live" rock, but can be seeded with other live rock. don't worry I don't work for them and I am not trying to sell the stuff, just wondering if anyone has any experience with it, or did I get jipped? |

I would say it great rock but if its inexpensive then no reason not to. You want a good mix of base and LR like 50/50.
Nice rock in here ,but there any many other. A google search for reef rock would bring many up. www.reefscience.com http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/s...cfm?pCatId=393
