Bought a 30 gal blue Barrel for holding ro water and got a bulkhead to put in the bottom. Anything special I should know about for installing one of these?

OT - where's a good location to get those barrels and what do they cost?

Why use a bulk head? Use a uni-seal or whatever they are called. They work for round objects better that bulkheads.

This is where I got my container. Its only 10 miles from my house so I saved on shipping.

I'd use a bulkhead too, they're tough as nails. Uniseals are dirt cheap, but not at all as durrable.

I checked out the link and I suppose you have to email for pricing.

I used a hole saw to cut the hole near the bottom of the side of the drum. I installed the bulkhead and used a ball valve with a 90 to creat a spigot for filling buckets. I also propped my dum up on a platform high enough so buckets fit under the spigot. REAL handy

Yeah i called them. There not open on the weekends. The 30 Gal was just under $45. There are a few places I found online that have sales on reconditioned 55 gal drums for pretty cheap with free shipping. I just googled Water Storage Containers.

WOW ... I must have been lucky then. I picked up them up for $2.00 each from a guy out in the sticks. The drums used to contain soy sauce and others contained garlic. I picked up the soy sauce ones. They cleaned up real quick.

Doesn't hurt to know where to get more ... I bookmarked the link, thanks.
