Petco bans NEA Members

this thread was started by an NEA member complaining about Petco and I feel as if it needs to be continued in order to resolve matters a bit more.

http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...readid=1251920

I think that what can be agreed upon by all in this thread is that this man has a major problem with a particular store.

and that store does not want to change their ways, which is well in their right, they are in charge of their own management.

I won't argue whether or not you should be band from their store because, it is within their right to refuse to service you, so their opinion is the one that counts.

you (the person that first posted this thread) implied that you were disappointed with their service.

there are several things that can be done, or could have been done to solve this matter, one of which is to ask to volunteer your services and or medicine to take care of the fish more directly in Petco, or encourage someone you know to take a job in Petco(that isn't in the NEA), you could order more from online stores(which I have had a lot of luck with), it is also your right to report this to the BBB(Better Business Bureau),and finally because you mentioned that petco was the only worth wile pet store within a 100 miles, one of the NEA members could simply start their own store. the latter possibility is a little extreme and may call for a few bank loans but if there is a market for a better pet store and if it is run correctly with the right backing I don't see why it can't be done.

the fact is there are peaceful alternatives and they should be actively pursued, the online possibility is the best and easiest, and most peaceful one in my personal opinion.

PS I do very much respect the RC officials opinion on closing the previous thread and also respect their decision if they so choose to close this one as well. I felt I had something worthwhile to add that could help.

I don't understand how you respect the mods and their decision to close a thread, just to go behind their back and open another one up to discuss the exact same issue. Maybe I am being a silly and they will see it a different way.

I felt I had something to add, and they can close this thread at the click of a button-not the worst thing to make someone do. besides they closed that thread in order to calm people down, I was trying to find something to perhaps agree upon.

TBH I was surprised when the last thread got closed. It wasn't even that heated. There are a few who will take it upon themselves to stir the pot towards the lock button if they don't like a thread and I believe they got that one.... they do it all the time.

Your suggestions have already been stated and answered in the locked thread several times.

Your stay on RC will be much happier if you understand that starting a new thread on a topic that has just been closed because you feel the need to get the last word in, is not a good idea. In fact, it's a good way to lose your posting privileges.
