Home Depot sells the spa flex over here Cindy... check with some pool people if you cant locate it ..

The HVAC thing he is talking about is your central air conditioning's Intake vent,, or the return...

Thanks Nathan! I'll check with our Home Depot or with the people we bought our spa from.

P.S. I know I've commented on your avatar but it is just too cute. I love it! I can't believe he let you put that on his head. I don't think either of my two kitties would hold still for that. [/B

I don't think that's his cat

On the flex PVC, you can get it through a spa store, but you'll opay through the nose! Check out Savko.com
This is the stuff you want

Be sure to order the cement for it as well. Regular PVC cement doesn't work well with this stuff

His Name is Dylan... and that picture of him has been passed around the internet since 1998.Someone else was using him as a avatar as well. I believe joeychitwood did... He is at my dads in TN now keeping him company.. and still doesnt mind a good rugby game. he loves TV ....

And Larry is right, you need to get the "Special Cement " for spa flex .

Thanks Cindy, I did enjoy my visit, and there's nothing like Mom's turkey
I have used regular PVC cement on the flex hose, and it holds water, but I have a problem with micro bubbles that I attribute to it. Better to be safe, and use the stuff designed for the flex. You can use the flex cement on rigid PVC without problems

Hey guys! Jeff again. I have the 55 gal with 3 clowns an angel and my yellow tang just died from black dot disease or something. Tank levels are perfect across the board. My angel just got cloudy eyes, i quarantined him into a seperate 10 gal tank with the same water but a new pump. The levels went up on that tank though, so i put some live rock in to create some bacteria in the pump/tank. I'm treating the angel with these tablets, something with a M. Supposed to be a five day treatment... I took out the carbon from the filter. The angel is eating but cannot see hardly anything. Have to practicly hand feed the fish. What is the best way to get this fish bank to tip top condition and back with his buddies in the 55 gallon?

Have the both pointing in. They will draw in fresh air and force out the hot air through any openings in your canopy.

Because your canopy is 8' long, I'd put a few in the top pointing down into the tank. The cooler breeze on the water will cool the tank and move collected hot air out.

You might have to do this come summer.

I dont want to do any cutting on the canopy so by summer i am going to add a AC unit to keep the room cool and it will help cool the house as well as the tank. Should the fans be on one end or both ends.

My canopy is 6 feet long, and I have four 4" fans, all blowing in. 2 blow in from the sides, and 2 are in the back (on the ends), blowing in. I do my best to have them angled down, pointing toward the water surface, as that's how you get the most cooling effect.

I got them in Tyler. I didn't QT them after much thought on it. I didn't see any ich on any of the fish there and both of these fish had been in there tanks for about a month. I also had them feed them for me first to make sure they would eat. They both looked very healthy and are doing wonderful in my tank

Sorry to tell you but I have seen ich in the tanks and its all the same water going through unless they are able to treat their water with something. Anything new that I get will definately go thru QT. The last fish I got I didn't QT. That's when I started getting the outbreak with my hippo. I'm not saying that was the cause, I probably already had it in my water. But adding a new one I imagine stressed some of the others out. The poor little Lawnmower blenny was picked on by my spotted hawk and he wound up dying. I thought he was doing pretty good but I guess it got to be too much for him in my tank .

Good luck to you with yours, they are really pretty.

Cindy
