why not do a SeaHorse only tank, a planted tidal sp? biotope, filled with some live rock and tons of sea grass? various maco algae's, makes for an intresting as well is unconventional display, have 2-3 dwarf seahorses..

I wanted to do sea horses, but I love zoas, and I heard that they had conflict with one another.

8 gallon is debateably too big for dwarf seahorses and way too small for the bigger species. Also, no matter how long its been setup, an 8 gallon will not be able to sustain the live feeding of a scooter blenny.

I say go with one of the smaller, hardier gobies. Yellow clown goby, neon goby, even a trimma would all be really cool.

sea horses would be cool actually and you can get a few pieces of tonga branch and stand it up making a perch for them.

Cool, yes, but definitely not the right habitat for seahorses. If you're truly interested in seahorses, check out the articles/resources on www.seahorse.org.
