Which Phosphate Reactor Do You Suggest?

Hi Everyone,

I need your advice: Which Phosphate reactors do you suggest for under $70.00? I want something affordable but great to handle phosphate control. I really need to order it ASAP. So far, I've looked at Two Little Fishes' Phos Ban Reactor 150, Kent Marine's NAUTILUS PHOS-REACTOR. I am open to suggestions. For both of these I will also need a pump. I've researched & read to stick to a small pump will less flow---maybe a Maxijet 400, as phosphate media works best this way. I would love your input ASAP! Thanks!

I run the TLF 150 reactor you've mentioned and it works great. I believe I have an MJ 400 or 600 on it, can't remember off the top of my head. Too much Christmas preparation...sorry.

Oh, and I run PHOSaR in it. HTH

I run the Two Little Fishes reactor with a mini-jet 606. The reactor and pump, less the reactor media, cost me less than $60 including tax.

The TLF is extremely easy to set up and maintenance.

I get my PHOSaR through Premium Aquatics.

Thanks! Well, It's TLF Phosban Reactor! Now, I just need to obtain the tubing from the hardware store before it arrives. I am going to go with the Maxi-Jet 400 too as the pump. I guess I can keep this and the pump in my sump, right?

Hi,

I was looking for a Phosphate reactor too. I found the TLF one at Marine Depot for $47 and it includes 150g of the PHOSban media and a fish CD.
Anyone know how the PHOSban media compares the this PHOSaR ?

Thanks.

Thanks, I saw that as well. I decided on the TLF reactor and added a MaxiJet 400 too. I did order the Phosban media as well.
