The roses bushes bloom twice, once the middle of June then again the middle of August.

Here're a few shots of our entry area. I just did some weeding, raking, and pond cleaning today. It's actually not a pond proper, more of a water garden, though I have some huge goldfish in there. It's only about 150 gallons.

There's not alot blooming yet, but here are a few blooming tree pics, an eastern redbud and an unknown tree (coral bells or something like that).

We have a pretty big yard, almost an acre. I thought it would be cool but it's a ton of work. When we had the house built it was literally all dirt. That was 7 years ago, and the yard is still not done, sigh. We've got alot of ornamental bush maples, lots of different flowering trees and shrubs, rhodedendrons, apple and pear trees, 5 different kinds of berries, some exotic dwarf pines ( a tanyoshi, black pine, blue spruce, junipers), gingko, lots of climbing flowers like clematis and honeysuckle, really too much to list. We lucked out the year the place was built, one of the dealers at the greenhouse next door was going out of business so we got about 4000 bucks worth of plants for 300. We then had to bust butt to get them in the ground. The front yard is kind of a Japanese style landscaping but the back is more of a sprawling agricultural mess, lots of food plants.

GSM, you have a lovely view there.

What a cool pond and beautiful flowering trees! I would love to do a pond! We live on wetlands (swamp) and the areas that are wet I would love to put cattails or lillies. Cattails are natural in the are so I am not sure if it's okay to plant them.
