with this being posted in the coral propagation forum I'm assuming you'll be adding it to a frag tank??? phyto feeds the funa (zoo plankton) which then in turn feeds corals it also stimulates polyp expansion so if you have LR in the system with plenty of funa you can feed daily to help increase their populations as well as stimulate your corals to feed, dose the phyto, wait 30min and feed your regular coral food.

there is no single answer for that, many people have very successful tanks and all feed something different.
i have my own blend that i feed of freeze dried zooplankton/decapod, ESV spray dried phytoplankton, freeze dried rotifers, freeze dried copepods, freeze dried daphnia, Spirulina powder, NatuRose and several different sizes of golden pearls from 5µ to 500µ. i also toss in a bit of DTs oyster eggs or frozen Cyclop-Eeze once in a while and about once a week i target feed my LPS with Mysis. i also hatch brine shrimp and feed those fairly regularly. |
