looks kinda cool, cant really see any detail, is it a snail type thing or a crab type thing?

I think its a crab, its a picture of live sand from TBS... I saw him in it and thought it was neat

by pure coloration/ apttern alone, if a name ever made sense for the little fellow, I am going to have to guess "leopard crab"

just want to say it looks really cool.. and if its reef safe i want one! hmm maybe if you can get a clearer picture of it someone can figure it out so i know what to ask for

It is a shameface crab, Calappa species. They get rather large with powerful claws and are capable of killing small fish and other invertebrates.

Yep. I don't know if the coloration differences are because of a change from juvenile to adult or due to different species, but both are images of shameface crabs.
