Quarantining larger fish?

I'm getting ready to add a Tang (probably a yellow tang) to my tank which now has just a clownfish pair (false percula). I do have a Q tank cycled (20 gallons) but is this large enough to house a decent sized yellow tang for 4 to 6 weeks? We're always told that fish like tangs need plenty of swimming room, 3000 gallon 30 foot tanks, etc...then we're told to quarantine them for several weeks. How does one go about quarantining larger fish?

I ran my tang through a 10 gal Q-tank, and he did fine. When you get most tangs they are only 2-3 in. in size. Add a small power head for water circulation in addition to a sponge filter. watch your water paramiters too. pwf
