Pregnant Bangaii

I bought my pair on October 4th. I didnt realize that they would breed so quickly but when I came home on the 26th I noticed the male was holding. I havent been feeding him as I would if I knew he was going to be holding soon. He was getting feed about 5 times a week about 3 or 4 PE mysid shrimps. Is he going to be able to hold the babies full term on the diet he was on? Is there anything I can do for him? If he cant carry them full term he will spit them out and not starve himself correct? This is my first time trying to do this and I am worried about his health. Thanks for any input.

Many first time dad's will spit or eat the eggs. They will not starve themselves. The feeding does sound like it may be enough for him.

Thank you for your insight. I do hope he can carry them. Any good ideas on making an artificial long spine urchin?

I have never found the fake urchine necissary, but you can make them out of epoxy putty and ridged airline or bamboo skewers. You can also just add some acro algae or fake plant with small spaces in it.
