drilling live rock

So I have had this Totoka rock for 2 years and want to drill it to do some cooler aquascaping.... I have drilled other types of rock in the past...... but wanted to get some opinion on drilling this type of rock before i proceed anyone drilled this rock before?

drills like butter... any bit on any drill

masonary bits works the best, wood works too

I just recently drilled my LR and I used a masonry bit. I think the key is to let the drill do the work, I let the bit bite the rock and work down slowly. I drilled some very small pieces and didn't break one. Good luck to you.

I drilled some also..Only had trouble with the aquacultured stuff...
it's like concrete..also, be careful using a plug in drill..I shocked myself
a couple of times really good while drilling.

drill a pilot hole first if you are worried about breaking the rock when you use the final size drill.
