Frogfish - Luring ME???
So, I have successfully converted my new frogfish over to eating from tweezers and now I swear he tries to lure me when he's hungry. He is alone in his tank and when I walk up to admire his he starts luring. At first I thought it must be my luck to see him doing this, but now it's getting ridiculous. Every time I approach the tank (except for when I have just fed him) he starts wiggling his lure at me!
STRANGE! |

Please videotape him, I'd love to see this behaviour! Sounds like he's one ambitious little fish if he thinks he could eat his owner! You should remind him that if he eats you there won't be anyone around to tend to his little ocean, so it might be in his best interest to keep you around

I just got this video of him feeding tonight. Sorry for the shaky camera work, but I was holding the camera in one hand and chasing his dinner with the other.
I'll try to get him luring me next time! |

It's some kind of tide pool blenny. Every once in a while I grab him a live one and throw it in his tank as a live treat.

Reef safe? Well, they do not eat corals, but sometimes they perch on them which can be an irritant. But your fish will become lunch at some point; he will try and eat anything up to his own size. When his dinner is too large, it can kill him.

He sits on the mushrooms, in the Pulsating Xenia, and around the zoos. He seems to find his favorite place and spend most of his time hanging around there. I have found that he really doesn't disturb my corals very much. He does purse and thing live in the tank and tries to eat everything!
