Coraline algae really needed?

I was letting the coraline algae build up on the back wall of the tank. I noticed in a lot of the photo gallery pics there was none in their beautiful tanks. Should I scrape all of it off? I thought it was good to have?

It just means your tank has decent params. It wont hurt or help your tank to leave it or scrape it. Its totally up to you whether or not you like it on your glass.

Coraline algea will consume some of your tanks Calcium, other then that it keeps the micro algea off the glass.
