WTB: Southdown Sand

I know this is a long shot, but if anyone has some bags of Southdown that they will not be using and would like to sell them, please send me a pm or email me at joyce@studiodirect.net

I saw someone had 5 bags for sale last weekend, but I was too late.

Thanks!
Joyce

Try K-Mart. They get in some good stuff sometimes. Stay away from the HD and Lowes type of playground sand Try local hardware store as they sometimes get accounts to bring in sand for playground/child safe/sterile sand. Just go for the much whiter sand and your good.

Good Luck

Thank you for all the replies. I know a bit about the sand, as I brought 3 or 4 pallets (10.000 lbs. or so!) of the SD to S. Calif. several years ago. Right now, I can bring in a truckload of pure aragonite and sell off the extra, but I'm not sure if I have the time/energy to lug all that sand around again!

Just thought maybe someone may have some extra SD laying around.

Joyce, last time I saw Southdown was quite a few years ago when (I think) Paul was getting it by the pallet load. I sold my remaining bags about two years ago, sorry.

Joyce was the southdown lady back in the day then Murray started getting it..I think at one time Murray's count was well over 20 pallets at 10.00 a bag...

Sorry Joyce, you might have a hard time on this one.

Yes, Murray started bring it in about one year after I did.

I have another source for pure aragonite, but I'm not sure I want to hassle bringing in a truckload. I'll let everyone know if I do.

Joyce, if you go the route let me know, I'm going to need 300-400 pounds.

When is the coral market show, Jan?

Hi Mark,

Yes, I will let you know. Rudy also emailed me and he needs 500 lbs. also. I might just do one more lot.

I looked on their website and it's Feb. 24th, 2008.

Joyce
