LED lights for fuge?

Would these lights on Ebay, or something similar be a good enregy efficient way to grow algai in a fuge?

Item number: 180197999265

Technical discussions of lighting make my eyes roll back in my head, so keep it simple.

"LED lights are currently being used by NASA for growing plants in outer space! " anybody want to jump on this?

Looks like the seller main business is about plant lights, I'm pretty sure it can do the job. But it's costly compared to compact fluorescent.

Anybody knows how long the LED bulbs last for good growth?

That is funny, Nasa growing plant in Space with 5mm leds? lol

You'll never grow anything under those bulb, They use low power leds.

The best would be Luxeon K2 if you want to grow something.
