Anemonie Crab question
I have what i was tol dis a anemonie crab. However he doenst live in any anemonies. He has two or three anemonies living in and on his shell. He has crazy long skinny legs, one big claw and one small claw. He is awesome. He jamms across the sand at night. He largest tail anemonie is pink and grey. Are these guys bad for a reef? I just got 4 large feather dusters and dont really want to wake up one mroning to see them all cut up. Is this a good crab or a bad crab?

Yes, it's bad. It's an anemone-herrmit crab, probably in the genus Dardanus. They're well known for their habit of carrying big anemones on their shells. Depending on the species it could get up to 10" or so in size. Large or small, they'll eat pretty much anything they find. The feather dusters are just the start. If you don't want him take it back to the LFS or trade it.

He'll eat snails of all types, other crabs, and your fish. He's a bad dude.
