I know than the mg salifert had issues with a reggent they are fixing it rigth now thats is why dificult to get it online. the mg seachem test kit is only .05 diferent than salifert.
Others ca, and alk still stick to salifert.

I've used the Instant Ocean kits for calcium and alkalinity, and they're okay. The calcium kit required a long wait to get accurate numbers, but it matched my Salifert. I haven't used any magnesium test kits except the Salifert, so I can't help there.

I'm switching to AP as my Saliferts run out. I can't see spending the extra $20/kit on Salifert for the same ballpark results I can get with the AP kits.

my mg results are so far out of wack with my new kit! my tanks read over 1500 and my io make up water is showing 1380! i now have no clue where my tanks are at!

The Elos Mg kit has gotten reasonable reviews, but I haven't used it myself. IO at 1380 ppm of Mg is very far from what I get.
