Explain bad and the ugly - coil denitrators & power outages.
OK, So say I am running a coil denitrator and the power goes out for 6 hours. What happens when the pump comes back on? Does teh resulting dead gunk in teh denitrator wipe the tank?
I am debating one of these, and I am trying to figure out a fail-safe if the power quits. I had actually thought about just gravity feeding into my sump so that the denitrator wouldn't stop, but I'm not sure if that is such a good idea being... well... the tank is siphoning into the sump during power outage. I see bad things here. so there is my second question... Those of you running coil denitrators, what's your fail safe? Thanks, -J

i'm thinking running it with a maxi-jet and a cheap UPS may be a good option.
