There has been a thread or two about such tanks. The conclusion is that they are very difficult to build from glass or acrylic, but they look very cool!

I've seen that somewhere before. Not sure where. It's awesome though.

You could probably do some cool stuff with it but it would be impossible to get into it.

yeah, I can just see that entire deep end being filled with aptasia and hair algae you can't reach.

Doubt I would do reef in there. Maybe Amazon planted tank. Maybe only 3/4 full....

Yeah on this big it might be a pain, but if you did one like this lets say 30" deep and 18" deep, it would still give the same effect, but be manageable...I think it could be done out of acrylic fairly easily (could be wrong though)...and if the stand was built right it could be elevated, so it would not be on the ground...

Looks like a nightmare to keep clean.

Thats looks like the type of tank you would find at an aquarium. Looks really cool but may be hard to manage.

It is a cool design. It is the tank for the one that wants to be different.

It will need stronger light for that deep section. But good eye view for small kids to see marine creatures.

Looks to me like it would be a real challenge to get good water flow throughout the system.

I guess most people do not like this idea, alot of people are being super negative...it is very close to reef walls in the wild, I like it, lol...I am going to talk to a local acrylic guy and see if this is a feasible option to have a tank made... |

I don't think people are being super negative, they are just thinking about living with it on a day to day bias. I think it looks really cool, but wouldn't want to have to work on it. See it being difficult cleaning that one side.

I would think that all the waste in the tank would naturally find its way into the deep section. Then cleaning the deep section would be tons of fun.

sweet looking tank, I like designs that complement the house, not just an eye sore, standing out...
