How often to feed?

I've got a couple small clams. I've got DT's to feed them but how often should I? Also, should I dose the whole tank or feed the clam seperate with a baster or a soda bottle top?

I do siphon target feeding, a couple of squirts and then release the last 2 siphons in the mid tank area. I do this 1 every 2-3 days, in between days, I use cyclopeeze on my lps. I dunno if it is right but works for my clams..

if you have strong lighting and feed your fish well you dont need to add anything just for the clam. clams will do just fine with the dissolved nutrients in the water. but if you feel like adding something just for the clam add a live phyto and just add a little to the whole tank. when clams do filter particles from the water they do this slowly a little at a time. if you've ever target feed your clam and seen it open and close quickly, what you are seeing is a coughing/chocking response where the clam is trying to clear the debris from its gills

cyclopeeze is to large to be utilized by clams but is good for your coral.

mbbuna .. what would your experiences say if I target fed and the clam stays WIDE open while I'm basting it w/ live phyto (I've seen your posts and must say ... you have MANY NICE AND THRIVING species under your care)? Should I just dose the tank and NOT target feed?
