I'd try an acrylic scraper first,

the good news is that it's on the outside and scratches and blemishes can be buffed from acrylic.

I'm not too experienced with Acrylic tanks, so I may be wrong, but I'm guessing you are out of luck.

PVC cement causes a chemical reaction with plastics. It softens them so that they can bond to each other more strongly. I think it would probably do the same to acrylic.

PVC solvent cement contains MEK along with a couple of other potent solvents. They will slowly dissolve acrylic. The only way to remove the blemish is to somehow scrape off the bump and then buff it out.

That's what prompted me to make my comment .....

I believe it does the same thing....

You just ruined that tank. It does soften and dissolves the acrylic so it can really bond and seal well. Its really strong sh*t and it drys very fast. The surface is probably completely ruined. Unless you really try and buff the thing out. Sorry.

Ok I scraped and scraped with razer, finger nails, washed with soap... the damage has been isolated...

It's very faint but it just SUCKS so bad since I just got this thing setup today. I will try to get an acrylic scratch remover later....

dah.. was hoping there would be some miracle "PVC glue remover" but guess not.... next time, cover your acrylic tanks when dealing wth PVC glue!!!!
