FAT Green Mandarin

I think my green mandarin is obese?
This is not the best pic.
She has been they way for months now so I think she is alright.

This pic looks a little better.

Wow,

I would suspect some sort of tumor or if it is an older female perhaps a reproductive issue. I know with freshwater fish that in old females the eggs etc. kinda "crystalize" and cause an obvious bulge. In my old lab, we used Zebrafish for some studies and one of our old females did the same thing. (One of the grad students at the time scooped her up and squeezed her and a large amount of "crystalized" eggs came out and she looked normal...plus she lived another 3-4 months, however I don't recommend doing that).

I was also thinking that it could be a sign of bacterial infection like dropsy or M. marinum. Or just a fat fish...

She acts normal. Spend all day going around the reef eating stuff. Fins look good, color looks good.
