Guess they lost two of their BIG tanks, but everything thing else was ok. They got all their employees in and were cleaning up and assessing the damage. Anyoen else have details?

Well, I just got back from Tropicorium (plus one brain coral). They lost two of their big tanks, one from the back room and one from the middle room. The fire started in the wall between the two rooms sometime before 10:30 am. Dick's wife just happened to be going to bed and she looked out her back window to see the greenhouse roof glowing orange. Dick ran out to see if there is anything he could do, but by that time it was too big. The fire department came with 4 trucks to put everything out. From what the employees where saying it was an electrical fire in the wall.

Had Dick's wife not of looked out of her window they would have lost everything. Right now they are in the process of re-setting up the tanks, ordering the salt by the pallets, and cleaning up. The whole place still smells like smoke. Thankfully nobody was hurt and they didn't lose ANY livestock, which is very impressive.

Fire hoses and reef tanks don't mix.
