LR pillars

has anyone got any ideas on how to make LR colums ?

at the mo im planning on building a stand out of PVC pipe and then drilling holes in the LR and sliding it onto the frame ?

anyone done anything similar ?

I would recomend acrylic rods instead of PVC because it will require a much smaller hole. This will help reduce breaking the rocks while drilling. Check out bwoody's thread

I have done what you arentalking about it worked very well. You will need a masonary bit. You can build a pretty vertical structure without worrying about it toppling. Plus no glue so you can change things

started the frames for mine today. running with 1" pvc pipe, not going to get much done this week though. had my tonsils out on wed. have to * rest * lots. im so bored

I used fiberglass rods with pretty good success. A little sturdier than acrylic.
